ADD Corp · Android apps
I build Android apps, from the rules of the game to a finished build on your phone.
ADD Corp is me, Dilovar. Two apps are in progress right now, and both will be free. I'm just starting out, so I'm keen to take on a new project, even an unusual one.
In progress
Each app has its own page in its own design. There you can play a card and pick tonight's dinner.

What's new
A short log of what changed in TUZ and Domcook. A stage tag takes you to the roadmap.
-
A new name: Domcook
FridgeChef is now called Domcook: one name under the icon, in the store and on the About screen. The new icon is a house-pot: a dark roof with a smoking chimney over a cream pot on terracotta.
Roadmap stage A new name: Domcook -
A new name: TUZ
The app is now called TUZ. Its icon is the corner of the ace of spades: a T with a spade, and a big spade peeking from the edge. On the splash screen three cards — T, U, Z — flip over and come together into a golden word.
Roadmap stage A new name: TUZ -
Getting ready for Google Play
Every change is now saved in the project history, and releasing a build is written down step by step.
Roadmap stage Release build for Google Play -
Rules right inside the game
A cheat sheet for “108” and “Bura” opens from the home screen, and the phone gives a short buzz when it's your turn.
Roadmap stage Rules cheat sheet and release build -
Signed release build
The build is signed with a release key, and the version number shows on the home screen and goes up by itself.
Roadmap stage Rules cheat sheet and release build -
A dropped connection no longer breaks the game
Everyone sees right away that a player has disconnected: their seat is kept and the game goes on.
-
First game over the internet
Two phones played each other over the internet — for real, not just in tests.
Roadmap stage First online game -
Google Play texts are ready
The privacy policy and the app description for the store page are written.
Roadmap stage Ready for Google Play requirements -
Screens from the designer's mockups
The home screen, room, table and splash screen were redrawn in the new style.
Roadmap stage A new look -
Cards fly in from whoever played them
Players sit in a circle, clockwise, and every move shows as a card in motion.
Roadmap stage Circle seating, cards in motion -
No tracking
All analytics were removed from the app, and product photos are sent without hidden metadata.
Roadmap stage Privacy -
Playing over the internet
Tables now run on a shared server: friends join from anywhere with a six-character code.
Roadmap stage Wi-Fi and online play -
“Fridge” is now “Pantry”
The app counts everything you have at home, grains and tins in the cupboard included, so the section got a broader name.
-
Rules for both games written down
First “108”, then “Bura” two days later: the rules were written down from the people who play them.
Roadmap stage Rules for both games -
Where it all started
The plan is set: each game has one host table, deals are fair, and nobody sees anyone else's cards.
Roadmap stage Plan and architecture -
633 recipes and pantry-based suggestions
A dish database with a product guide was built, and the app got suggestions, a weekly menu and a shopping list.

Sound familiar?
Ready to play “108”, but nobody brought the cards again? How I work
Four steps from a request to an app on your phone. The examples come from my own projects.
-
Understanding the task
You write a couple of lines or estimate the scope in the calculator; I ask questions and suggest where to start.
Example: the calculator on this site gives a rough scope in a minute.
-
Rules first, screens second
I write the logic separately from the interface and cover it with automated tests, so bugs are caught before you ever see them.
Example: TUZ has 300 automated tests for its rules and online play, and Bura on this site was run through 52 thousand random rounds.
-
Showing progress along the way
Work-in-progress builds can be installed on your phone and tried out — no waiting for the final version.
Example: TUZ is in a closed beta right now; testers get the build.
-
Publishing and improving
I prepare the app for release and keep improving it based on feedback.
Example: Domcook's phone build is ready, with 633 recipes put together by Python scripts.
Questions & answers
A quick look at the company and the apps. Tap a question to see the answer.
ADD Corp
What does ADD stand for?
It's the initials of my full name: Abduazimov Dilovar Dilshod o'g'li.
Who is behind ADD Corp?
Just me for now. Code, data, testing and builds are all on me.
Can I hire you to build an app?
Yes. I'm just starting out and happy to take on any task, because trying new things is the fun part. Tell me what you need and we'll talk it through.
How much do TUZ and Domcook cost?
Nothing. Both apps will be free.
Who do you work with?
Anyone. City and country don't matter; we can discuss everything by email or phone.
TUZ
Can you play without the internet?
Yes. Over Wi-Fi, one player's phone hosts the table, so no server is needed.
What if a friend loses connection mid-game?
Their seat is held for two minutes, and the game makes their moves in the meantime.
How many people can play?
Up to six.
Will it run on an old phone?
Yes, on Android phones from around 2015 onward.
Domcook
How is it better than a regular cookbook?
It starts with what you already have. First it shows dishes you have everything for, then ones missing one or two ingredients.
Do I have to type in my groceries?
You can add them by hand, by barcode or with a photo: the app recognizes the products itself.
Does it count calories?
Yes. Every recipe lists weights, cooking time, and calories, protein, fat and carbs per serving.
Does it need the internet?
Hardly. Recipes and suggestions work offline; the internet is only needed to recognize products from a photo.
Shall we size it up?
Tick what you need, and I'll show the rough scope and carry it straight into your request.
Have a project? I'm in.
Describe what you need in a couple of sentences, and I'll suggest how to build it.

The Domcook story
How Domcook grew
From a kitchen question to a Google Play build — seven steps. Scroll down.
-
01The idea
What can I cook with what I have?
A familiar question in front of an open fridge. That's where Domcook began: you mark the products you already have at home, and the app finds dishes to match.
-
02
The catalog: 633 recipes
633 home-cooking recipes were collected, with quantities, steps, cooking time and nutrition per serving. Alongside them: a guide to 592 products and a substitutions table — grains replace each other, so do legumes, and sweet potato stands in for potato.
-
03
Every dish has its own image
633 images — one per dish, all made for the app. On this site the dishes are served on lagans, painted Uzbek platters.
-
04
Suggestions, menu and shopping
Mark what you have at home and you'll see what you can cook right away and where you're one or two products short. Dishes go into a weekly menu, missing items into a shopping list sorted by store aisle. Everything works offline except photo recognition and the barcode lookup.
-
05
Privacy
All analytics were removed from the app. Before a photo is sent for recognition, the camera metadata is stripped from it, including the location where it was taken. The app now asks for six permissions instead of eleven.
-
06
Getting ready for Google Play
The build meets the store's requirements, and the privacy policy and listing texts are written. Since 29 September every change is saved in the project history. Now: the first build with a release signature.
-
07Next
What's next
Screenshots and graphics for the store listing, then closed testing: about 12 testers for 14 days in a row. After that, a free release for everyone.
